Color Of My Skin

This man judged me by the color of my skin

He was not interested in me,

he didn't want to be my friend

This man looked down on me as if I didn't exist

His hatred for my race could not in away be missed

He made me open my eyes to see

This is just a taste of how it use to be

This man made me feel pretty low

His language told me exactly where I could go

His eyes were so full of anger and rage

You wouldn't think this exist in this day and age

How can someone treat another person with so much disrespect

The animosity in his voice was very easy to detect

Our blood is all red,

we all breathe the same air

I saw the fire in his eyes,

the hatred in his stare

This man has a lot of growing to do

He can begin by excepting me,

you, you and you

Stop judging me by the color of my skin

This is just a start, some place to begin

This shouldn't escalate to another stage

It's a shame RACISM still exist in this day and age.
